We thought we had to arrive early for the ferry so we were up at 6:30 to get all packed up. We were in the taxi by 7:30 and at the ticket counter at 7:50 a.m.
(When we found out we could have arrived about 8:40 to make the 8:45 ferry.) Anyway, we took the longer ride this time to Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas. It was about a 40 minute ride but gave us another view of some of the islands and St. Thomas. We parked our luggage and walked around St. Thomas checking out a few historic sites and looking for some souvenirs.
(Only place I've ever seen with jewelry and liquor in the same store. There must be a hundred jewelry stores down there.)We have some pizza for lunch at a little local place and couldn't find anything else to entertain our time so we headed to the airport about 1:00 p.m. We are currently sitting waiting for our flight to San Juan Puerto Rico at 5:50 p.m. and then on to Tampa and hopefully back home about 1 a.m. It has been a great week! (
